Holiday Gift Guide 2019: The Top Cannabis Books To Exchange on Christmas Eve (Jólabókaflóð)

Jólabókaflóð, or “Christmas/Yule Book Flood,” is an Icelandic holiday tradition. The holiday is comprised of exchanging books with friends and loved ones on Christmas Eve, then spending the evening reading them aloud to one another, often while gathered in front of a cozy fireplace, or curled up in bed with a partner, and perhaps some chocolate.

Cannabis: A Big Sisters’ Guide by Anna May Meade and Mary Meade

Mary has metastatic breast cancer and was curious if cannabis could help her. She asked her sister Anna, who taught chemical safety and was well versed in marijuana. Together, they created a guide to help initiate candid conversations around cannabis. Their book covers everything from the extraordinary powers of the plant to tips for visiting a dispensary, as well as an overview of what medical conditions may be relieved by cannabis. The guide also contains practical information such as how to obtain a medical marijuana card to more hands-on, fun information, including how to roll a spliff.
